Change Bandits can register now
DOWNTOWN AKRON — The 14th annual “Have a Heart, Do Your Part” Radiothon presented by 98.1 WKDD will take place Feb. 7-9.
Leading up to the radiothon, Change Bandits “rob” their friends, family and co-workers of spare change, with all proceeds benefitting children in the care of Akron Children’s Hospital, according to hospital officials. Change Bandits kick off the radiothon with a Change Bandit Bash Feb. 6. The radiothon will be broadcast live from the hospital Feb. 7-8 from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Feb. 9 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
To get a head start on the Change Bandit program, which officially begins in January, register online at www.akronchildrens.org/change bandit. Kits will be mailed in early January and include complete instructions. Online fundraising also will be offered.
Aids available for people with arthritis
