Hudson’s helps Blessings in a Backpack

More than 150 adults and children enjoyed breakfast and took photos with Santa (played by Walter McGee), who is shown at right with Keegan Altomare. Professional photos were taken by Andrew Jordan Photography.
According to company officials, Hudson’s Restaurant raised $1,225 for Blessings in a Backpack, a national organization designed to feed elementary school children whose families qualify for the federal free meal program who might not have any or enough food on the weekends. Every Friday, students receive their bags with food staples that require little to no preparation. They then return their bags on Mondays.
This program will sponsor children at Helen Arnold Community Learning Center in West Akron. According to company officials, it takes $80 to feed one child for a year.
