FAIRLAWN — As one of their community projects, Fairlawn Village Preschool students ages 3 to 5 put together 48 large Easter baskets for Summit County Children Services (SCCS) to be distributed to preschool-aged children, according to school officials.

Parents were asked to send in donations of candy, chocolate bunnies, coloring books, crayons, small stuffed animals and books, puzzles and small toys for girls and boys. The teaching staff also donated items, along with providing the baskets, grass, colored ribbons and bows for the baskets.

The Mothers of Fairlawn Village Preschool group volunteered to help pack and wrap the baskets.

Next year, the preschool is looking forward to increasing the number of Easter baskets donated to SCCS, according to school officials.
