WEST AKRON — Firestone High School (FHS) students from the Business Professionals of America chapter and DECA joined forces with members of the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame to help the dogs at One of a Kind Pet Rescue recently. The students collected more than 40 pounds of peanut butter, while the athletes contributed $100 for the purchase of Kong dog toys.

Shown at right top at One of a Kind Pet Rescue March 28, FHS student Kamarea Veal fills a Kong toy with peanut butter before giving it to a dog.

Kamarea is pictured at left as she pays a visit to Honey and her nine new puppies.

One of a Kind Pets Retail Manager Lorie Ollom is shown at middle left as she tells Loren Roberts, Kamerea and Jada Langston about how the pet rescue started.

Loren also had the chance to visit with one of the cats there, as shown at right bottom.
