A variety of plants will be for sale, including Stan Hywet’s “Homegrown Series.” Plant and garden accessories are available for purchase throughout the season during Molly’s business hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Stan Hywet is located at 714 N. Portage Path.
Some items in last year’s sale are shown at right.
The Homegrown Series features patio containers and baskets of succulents, annuals and tropicals designed and created by Stan Hywet’s horticulture department. Many are grown in the production area of the Corbin Conservatory. Gardeners also will find an array of perennials grown from cuttings from the historic Great Garden.
The Garden Shop at Molly’s also features decorative bird baths and garden pots, as well as miniature garden kits for personalizing backyard habitats and indoor tablescapes.
Admission is not required to shop or dine at Molly’s Shop & Café, including the outdoor Garden Shop.
“Gardeners who purchase from Stan Hywet get the healthiest plants and the most interesting garden items, while also supporting this historic estate. It’s a win-win,” said Tom Hrivnak, director of horticulture.
Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is open to the public Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The last admission is at 4:30 p.m.
