MERRIMAN VALLEY — Victim Assistance Program (VAP) celebrated the 21st annual Mardi Gras Gala in March at Todaro’s Party Center.

The Mardi Gras Gala Committee was led by co-chairs Ann Manby and Bev Walter. Shown at right top is Manby and Ron Dunk.

More than 400 guests attended the event, which included an open bar, gourmet sit-down dinner, live band, dancing and auctions, according to event officials.

The Bernard I. Rosen Community Service Award was presented to Frank Harvey, a past board president who has worked for 40 years on behalf of VAP, according to event officials. Shown at right middle are Bob Denton, at left, and Harvey.

In addition, the Volunteer of the Year Award was given to Mosher Media. Shown at right bottom is Dan Mosher, of Mosher Media, and Leanne Graham, VAP executive director.

Proceeds from the event benefited VAP, a nonprofit organization that provides free holistic services to victims of crime and trauma throughout Summit County.
