Akron General Women’s Board celebrates success

During the meeting, board officials announced the annual contributions from the Women’s Board to Akron General Health System totaled $500,000. According to board officials, donations were given to many different departments throughout the system.
The board also welcomed the new officers for the upcoming two years, including: president Becky Calloway, corresponding secretary Pat O’Leary, treasurer Barb Lubinski and assistant treasurer Mirna Debs.
Outgoing president Laurie Fenton presented Betty Dalton and Cam Worrell, who were honored for their dedicated service to the Women’s Board and Akron General Health System. Shown at top right, from left, are Fenton, Worrell and Dalton.
Six new members were presented: Kathie Dickenson, Maria Mandera, Angela Mendise, Carol Peter, Andrea Prowley and Cathy Stephens.
Shown at right bottom, from left, are Mendise, Fenton and Peter.
In addition, two sustainers came back to active status: Lois Bradley and Mary Thompson.
New Provisionals also were introduced for the coming year: Rebecca Bracken-Marley and Holly Cromwell.
