GREEN — Santa Claus flew into town Dec. 8 for the annual Santa Fly-In at the MAPS Air Museum. But it wasn’t a red-nosed reindeer who helped bring Santa and Mrs. Claus to town. The two are shown at right top after their arrival in a Cessna piloted by Kim Grimes, of the Women With Wings Chapter of International 99, which sponsors the event.

Later, the two visitors from the North Pole spent some time with local children, like Green residents Marcus Elsey, 5 months old, shown above, at left, and his cousin Brooke Schreffler, 7 months old.

Cole McGrath, 9, is pictured at right middle as he listens to words of wisdom from Santa.

Angela Finney, an assistant elf, chatted with visitors at the Santa Fly-In, as shown at right bottom.

Those who attended also had the chance to visit the museum and enjoy refreshments.
