WEST AKRON — The seventh-grade Girl Scout troop from St. Sebastian Parish recently delivered a handmade wreath to the Akron Children’s Hospital Tree Festival.

The free annual fundraiser for the hospital took place Nov. 23 through Dec. 1 at the John S. Knight Center.

This year’s theme was “We Wish You a Bedazzled Christmas.” The girls made angels out of seashells and bedazzled them in silver and gold glitter and assembled them with halos and pearl heads. Then they decorated small bulbs in silver and gold and arranged them on a lighted wreath and finished it off with a large silver bow.

The girls and St. Sebastian Pastor the Rev. John Valencheck are shown above with the wreath.
