Volunteers, including Lauren Alexander, Betty Lin-Fisher, Ed Morrison, Bill and Virginia Albanese, Joanie and Paul Belair and Derrick Ransom, committed their time and energy to making the holiday season brighter for youth from low-income families, according to BGCWR officials.
Doantions for Holiday for Kids came from: Roth, a Sodexo company; employees of the Akron Beacon Journal; Greg and Lisa Smith; Buckeye Community Health Plan; Inflatable Images; Jack Doheny Supplies; Michael Pratt and Nadia Malek; A. Schulman; Bardo Basketball; Deby Rossignol; Betty Rider; Mike Sherman; Randy and Michelle Corbin; Evans Insurance; Heather Manspeaker; Max & Erma’s restaurants; Subway; Coca-Cola Refreshments; and Primp Hair Salon.
“We greatly appreciate the sponsors and volunteers who help make this event possible,” said Teresa LeGrair, BGCWR president and CEO. “This opportunity for holiday fun and enrichment makes a difference in the lives of our Club kids. It’s wonderful to see how excited and happy they are to shop for their families and be able to give back, enjoy a good meal and make a fun art project to take home.”
The mission of the BGCWR is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. For more details, visit www.wrkids.org.
