The Akron Racers, Akron’s professional fast pitch women’s team, will hold softball clinics June 18 and July 8. Registration is available online.

Campers get to learn the drills used by professional basketball players at this National Basketball Academy camp. Those participating also receive a T-shirt, basketball and ticket to a Cavaliers regular season home game. Camps take place July 28-Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Bath at both Akron General Health and Wellness Center-West and Old Trail School. The camps are $245.

Camps in Speed and Agility, Elite Sports Performance, Youth Martial Arts and Adult Boot Camp will be offered at Evolve, 387 Medina Road, with prices starting at $49. Other programs are available at a cost of $199 for two months.

The bowling and party center, located at 193 Wooster Road N. in Barberton, will hold several one-day camps and a weeklong camp. One-day sessions include camps on bowling, Legos and Nerf toys. Weeklong Drama and Art Camp is offered with a full or half-day option the week of July 23.

Day and overnight ranch camp for horse enthusiasts age8-16 takes place at the center, 6801 Christman Road in New Franklin, in this Akron YMCA camp. Campers will learn horsemanship and equine management in mounted and unmounted lessons. Campers are grouped by age, experience and ability and can also take part in swimming, team sports and traditional camp activities.

Pinnacle Sports, 313 Medina Road in Granger, will offer seven sessions of day camp featuring sports instruction, athletic performance training and summer fun for children ages 5-13 beginning June 19. The cost is $160 per week for MVP members or $192 for others. MVP members also can reserve all seven sessions at a cost of $925. Campers also may attend for $40 a day for MVP members or $50 a day for others. Additional discounts are available. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available.

Lil’ Zips Day Camp is for boys and girls ages 3-8 and will take place June 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at a cost of $30. Individual Camp takes place June 23-26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with prices starting at $85.

Gymnastics mini camps will take place at West Side Gymnastics, 1347 Sunset Drive in Copley, Wednesdays, June 18 to Aug. 6. A different theme is featured at each camp, such as Dinosaurs, Sports Extravaganza and Camping. Each session is $40, with early registration and sibling discounts available.
