DOWNTOWN AKRON — In celebration of Arbor Day, volunteers from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Canton Charge and the Cleveland office of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) US, along with students, faculty and staff from Leggett and Jennings community learning centers (CLCs) gathered to plant 160 pear, redbud and dogwood trees at the CLCs.

This event was part of the “Trees for Threes” program, in which the Cavs and PwC have pledged to plant one tree for every Cavs three-pointer made during their 2013-14 regular season home games. This spring, Cavs and PwC volunteers will plant a total of 291 new trees, donated by Pettiti Garden Centers.
