Council of Italian-American Societies recognizes volunteers

NORTH AKRON — The Council of Italian-American Societies of Summit County held its Volunteer Recognition Dinner Nov. 6 at St. Anthony of Padua School’s gymnasium.
According to event officials, the dinner honored more than 200 volunteers who donated their time for the Italian-American Festival held at Lock 3 in Downtown Akron in July.
Proceeds from this year’s festival were donated to the following organizations: St. Anthony School, IBH Addiction Recovery Center, Falls Cancer Club, Good Neighbors Cuyahoga Falls, St. Bernard’s Hunger Program, IBH Outreach Project and the National SuperKids Classic.
