Manchester hosts food drive to help families

NEW FRANKLIN — Nolley Elementary and Manchester Middle schools recently held a food drive organized by district nurse Kristen Teeters and with help from the Manchester PTA. Shown are volunteers sorting food donations at the district’s board office Nov. 18. According to district officials, the Jackson Friends Church also made donations, along with the Eagles’ Ladies Auxiliary. Also, an anonymous family in the area donated to the food drive. The collection provided 37 families with a large amount of food and paper products, according to district officials.
