SUMMIT COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

WEEK OF OCTOBER 5

SUMMIT COUNTY — The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Summit County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

    State Route 8 projects

State Route 8 reconstruction in Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Hudson & Boston Heights – complete pavement replacement on State Route 8 between Graham Rd. and State Route 303. Estimated completion, July 2022.

NEW IMPACT – The ramp from Seasons Rd. to State Route 8 southbound will be closed on Thursday evening, October 1, at 8 p.m. and Friday evening, October 2, for pavement repairs. Each nightly closure will occur between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. The detour will be Wyoga Lake Rd. to Steels Corners Rd. to State Route 8.

State Route 18 culvert in Bath Township
NEW IMPACTBeginning on Tuesday, October 6 the ramp from State Route 18 westbound to I-77 northbound will be closed through Friday, October 9 for a culvert replacement. The detour will be will be the I-77 southbound ramp to the State Route 18 eastbound ramp to I-77 northbound. 

State Route 91 culvert replacement, Twinsburg
NEW IMPACT

  • Beginning on Friday evening, October 2, at 8 p.m., State Route 91 northbound at I-480 will be closed through Monday morning, October 5, at 6 a.m. for a culvert replacement. The detour will be Highland Rd. to Chamberlain Rd. to State Route 82.
  • Beginning on Friday evening, October 9, at 8 p.m., State Route 91 southbound at I-480 will be closed through Monday morning, October 12, at 6 a.m. for a culvert replacement. The detour will be State Route 82 to Chamberlain Rd. to Highland Rd.
  • Beginning on Monday, October 5, State Route 91 under I-480 will have various lane restrictions through late October.
